I’ve been able to use the BFD3 M1 beta build (vst2) via Bidule/Patchworks in Cubase running native and it’s been very solid so far and is holding me over ok.
While not ideal it works as a temp solution, at least for people who already have Bidule or Patchworks (I wouldn’t tell anyone to go spend $100 on either of those just to use BFD).
Dev showed me a working M1 build this week. It was a debug build, but we’re not too far away from running a build through beta and getting it out to the public.

Thank you! However hopefully being a BFD user for over 10 years is a better qualification for the beta than randomly spamming the forum until I get the privilege to send a PM, won’t you agree? 
You don’t need to post/spam. Just read. Open up 5 or more topics scrolling down each one slowly and you’ll be able to PM Drew. If you click on the “Replies” header to sort on replies, you’re sure to get topics long enough to meet that requirement. The forum uses Discourse and a lot of these rules are set by them, not by BFD, so sorry, no credit for being a long time customer

I’ve done the application twice and have not received anything
I applied, too… no response to date.
I just want to be able to use BFD on my M1 Mac. Spent a few hours trying to fix it without success. No other plugin issues; I don’t hav e time to waste on this, so new tracks are all using SD. Makes this BFD1/2/3 owner sad.

in early 2021 I was told that the Apple Silicon release wound be available “within the next few month”. Two weeks ago (February of 2023) I bought Superior drummer 3. For me the wait is over…
An M1 native build just hit the beta team.

As a beta tester, I can testify it’s working flawlessly so far in logic so far (and I didn’t have any auth problem despite not having launched BFD in ages)

It was, then we paused it for a while. We resumed in recent weeks, and we’ve now got something that is almost ready for public consumption!
