Been using BFD since the beginning, but I’m a bit confused about what mics are used, regarding snare, in the slots- Top, bottom and rim. And differenr snares, differen setups, so how do one tell what is used where? Carnt seem to find info on that.
The FAQ for BFD expansions usually will tell you what mics and outboard gear were used to capture the drums. I’m not sure about the stock kits for BFD3… I thought I once saw that info, but I’m not sure it’s in the FAQ or not.

True, it was actually the stock sn I was refering to. One could argue, that its a nerd thing, so what, use your ear…but honestly, BFD IS a nerd program, and if I hadn’t been a drum producer for 40 years, I probably would have used Superiour Drummer etc.
The manual does show tracking notes for BFD3, but only outboard gear is listed. It’s in the Introduction section.
