Two hi hats possible?

Trying to add a second hi hat, but it’s greyed out. Any way to make this happen?

Once you added it, did you assign the kit piece to it?

Can’t add because that option isn’t available. That’s my problem.

Short Answer…No…You can’t have (2) Fully Functional Hi Hats
The HiHat is in a Ciruit/combination with the Pedal (same with drum modules..1 input for HH and 1 for HH controller…tied together in a circuit) and there is only one HH slot in BFD…
For the most part… ALL Vst/Software is this way as there is only one Hi Hat Engine.

BFD Mixer Slots/layout for Kit Pieces are as follows..
0-55..L to R

Kick SLOTS
0,10,32,33,34

Snare SLOTS
1,11,35,36,37

Hi hat SLOT
2

Floor Tom SLOTS
3,12,38,39,40

Mid Tom SLOTS
4,13,41,42,43

Hi Tom SLOTS
5,14,44,45,46

Crash (Cymbal) SLOTS
6,7,15,16,47, 48,49,50,51,52

Ride
8,17,53,54,55

Percussion SLOTS
9,18

I attempted a Dual Hi Hat setup as that is what my E-Kit is …didn’t work.
It will actually work for a brief moment or 2…then the MIDI will freeze and require you re-start BFD..

If you want to try it..

I attempted by adding..

Generic Cymbal..

Then go to Drum Menu assign a Hi hat to the Generic Cymbal…the kit piece on the Kit Layout will change to a Hi Hat.

add MIDI assignments in the keymap Menu

It may work for a brief moment or 2…then the MIDI will freeze…and no longer recognize any input..requiring a Restart of BFD.
