Can anyone tell me if there are any side snare mic samples in any BFD product?
(Really looking for microphones on the shell)

When you say side snare, do you mean rim shots?

Sorry, no. I mean samples of the microphone pointed at the side of the snare drum.
Top. Bottom. And sometimes the side.

I believe Horsepower has what is called a side kit mic. Pretty sure that is one of the snare DI mics. Not sure of any others off the top of my head, but maybe there’s some other expansions that have it.
Edit: Nope, the Horsepower side kit mic is an ambient mic, not snare.

All of the snares in the BFD3 Wooden Snares Expansion had a side mic…
“Each snare drum was recorded with 2 top mics, 1 bottom mic and 1 side mic”
BFD Percussion…B.O.M.B…Dunnett TI…Jazz./Funk…Jazz/Maple…Heavy,JEX…MCA…Oak Custom etc (may be others) were recorded at Omega Studios…most in the same room/setup…but not all of the snares had a side mic.
You’ll see a number of expansions…“recorded in similar studio conditions”.
Not all list the mics used…and those that listed them is in the older Documentation.
I think the BFD3 Core Library Mapleworks snare was also recorded at Omega…
I believe Drew recorded the Horsepower kit…inhouse.
