Something that always slows me down when creating a key map is having articulations showing that aren’t actually included in a particular kit piece. They have the (!) next to them and it’s especially annoying with hi/hats.
Is it not possible for the keymap articulations to change and reflect that actual articulations for the selected kit piece?
Surely this can’t be a hard thing to achieve.
I’m on BFD3.4, but I’m guessing 3.5 is the same.

I’m on 3.5. Yes, you are correct. It operates the same way as 3.4 in this regard. I know what you are saying and it makes sense.
However, I swear I’ve had instances where I specify one of the nonexistent articulations with an exclamation mark, and it actually provides the articulation! Maybe that was a one-off. Or maybe it was just in my head.

What it does, is just substitutes the missing articulation with one that is available with the loaded kit. For example with the ride, if the Hit(!) artic is not present, but being used in groove playback, it will trigger the Edge artic on the ride instead, which I never understood because it should really trigger the Bow artic imo.
