Problems after Monterey 12.6.3 update

Hi all,

Everything has been working well, then updated my iMac Pro last night to Monterey 12.6.3 (from previous Monterey version) and BFD3 will no longer open (deleted/installed/re-installed, rebooted, re-alot of stuff and still no response).
The program flashes like it’s going to open, then nothing (nothing in activity monitor, no response for and alone or plugin version)
On the first attempt to open, “post” a fresh install (logged into InMusic too), it flashes…then fills the Trash folder with a bunch of program pieces from BFD.
Antone else experiencing any issues “post” 12.6.3 update?

Nope. I updated the other night, and it fires right up. I’m definitely not seeing anything like Trash filling up.

I’ve never seen that. Could you post a screenshot or even a copy of the files that end up in the trash?

Hi Drew, Been using BFD since the very first version…so I’ve had years of troubleshooting the product. The changeover to this new platform/system went smoothly for me. This is the first time I’ve been in a situation where I couldn’t get BFD3 to open at all.
I just did a deep clean on my system and fresh-installed the software, and still, the App flashes like it’s going to open, then dumps the stuff in the attached screenshot into the garbage.
Any help getting BFD3 restored would be greatly appreciated and thank you for the follow up!

This is also happening when trying to download BFD# update (2 files failed to download properly). I wonder if this is part of the issue??

That is odd!!!

Do you have a case sensitive or case insensitive file-system?? Only thing I can think of, off the top of my head atm.

The issue with errors during download is common in my experience. Just X-out the download, but keep the already downloaded content. Close LM, open LM. Then try to download the product again. You may have to rinse/repeat a few times, but eventually you will get an installer without errors.

Hi Drew, Anything else that you could recommend I try to get BFD3 opening again?
Even outside of what my particular symptoms may be. As it stands with dozens of attempts to clean system re-download, etc…I am still at a place where when I click on the BFD3 icon, it balloons up for a moment like it’s’ going to open…then nothing. Can’t get past this point now. I wish I didn’t need it so bad but I have numerous projects in the works with BFD tracks in them.
I’ll try absolutely anything at this point.

Hi Drew,

An update to this specific behavior again (recently) with the latest build installation.
Happy to report that BFD3 is still working for me again and no problems to report on that front.
However, I thought you might be interested to know that something keeps triggering the same dump of items directly into my trash. I have not pin-pointed yet exactly what causes it, but I empty trash daily (as needed), and I noticed another similar batch of items in the trash folder (happened right after updating to the new public version the other day).
Just thought you might like to know in case anyone else ends up with this behavior as well.

The screenshot is earlier in this thread, it hasn’t changed since the first time I reported it. The same items get sent to the trash folder.
Just leaving it here as an update to the original part of this thread in case any other users were getting this behavior, etc.
