Problem download bdf dark farm

I HAVE RECENTLY PURCHASED SOME EXPANSION PACKAGES, BUT THE TIMES ARE BIBLICAL IN DOWNLOADING, ESPECIALLY BDF DARK FARM, STILL AT 40% FOR THREE DAYS, FROM INMUSIC SOFTWARE IT STOPS AT 30 GB, FROM BDF LICENSE MANAGER YOU NEED TO CLOSE IT SOMETIMES AND RESTART IT TO HAVE IT A MINIMUM DOWNLOADING IN SPEED, ONLY WITH BDF IT HAPPENS TO ME. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE LIBRARY?2024-12-08T23:00:00Z

What’s your internet speed?

Bear in mind that Dark Farm is huge, it extracts to 89gb,

I’m fortunate enough to be on a very fast 1gb fibre optic broadband.

Yes, downloading expansion packs still sucks, 4 years later. I just bought VRT and had to constantly X-out the download. Took over an hour to get a complete installer without errors.

Make sure you just X-out the download, but keep the already downloaded data if it prompts you. Sometimes it does and doesn’t. I usually close the License Manager thereafter and keep trying.

I don’t think internet speed has anything to do with it. I have a hardwired 600mb and downloading expansions has always been problematic for me as well. It’s the LM and/or their shitty servers.

speed has nothing to do with it at all, I have over 100 megs, it’s really the site that sucks. I’m surprised that bdf uses servers that are so slow, actually almost stopped. I have to exit every time and restart bdf license otherwise it won’t continue. And luckily it doesn’t hang on the file cecksum for the moment. Hoping to have a file that’s in place when he’s finished in 2026 at this rate…

I don’t think I’ll buy any bdf libraries anymore no matter how beautiful they are. If this is the speed of their servers. However, even with bdf3 the software took almost a day to download. It’s unacceptable these days. Other 100GB libraries only took me 1 hour

The bright side, is that you only need to download it once. Once they’re installed, you don’t really have to touch them and they seldom do updates for expansion. Most of the other expansions are a lot smaller too, so it should be less painful.

The downloading has always been a problem, but I was able to download Dark Farm within a few hours. That was a year ago. After downloading an expansion the other day, it seems like it’s gotten worse.

It may not be the servers at all and just the communication with the BFD License Manager. Supposedly they’re ditching that with the next build, so it might be a lot smoother to download products in the hopefully, not so distant future.
