Hello! I’m a beginner at drumming and i just found out about this awesome software!!!
I bought an Alesis Turbo Mesh Kit and i can’t find it in the list of “engine>keymaps” presets with is fine i guess, i’m using the “Alesis Nitro Mesh” preset and its perfect! >:D
My problem comes from the hi-hat, the pedal doesn’t affect the hat at all, the hi-hat is always open and when i push the pedal it makes the closed sound just once but then it open again.
I don’t know what to do and would love some help from you guys hehe!
Thank you for reading me and i wish to read you soon
I attached a Link for both ..the Medeli has much more info for the Module.
The MIDI Mapping is based on the GM Standard Percussion Mapping as are other Modules including numerous Alesis, Roland.
The Mapping shows only (2) Notes for the Hi Hat Open (46) and Pedal (Chick) (44)
Going by the Medeli DD401 Owners manual..the MIDI Map shows there isn’t a Note for HH Closed (42) and the Module only supports single zone Toms and Cymbals
You cannot Edit MIDI Note assignments in the Turbo (Medeli DD401) Module.
It does not have this feature. You would need to create a New MIDI Map if you want a closed sound.
I attached a MIDI map w/image for the Turbo Mesh Kit for BFD3..this Map replaces the (Pedal) Chick(44)..with Hi Hat Closed (42)..Articulation assignment.See if you like that any better.
That’s the best you’ll be able to do as the Hi Hat is Switch Type(Open/Closed)..not Continuous/Variable (CC4)
Unzip copy the 2 files to
Windows …C:\ProgramData>BFD Drums>BFD3>System>Maps>Alesis.
macOS Library>Application Support>BFD Drums>BFD3>System>Maps>Alesis.
