BFD 3.5 standalone, Windows 11. No response from any keyboard shortcuts! Not even Play/Stop from space bar. It’s like it doesn’t even recognize my keyboard.
Is anything assigned?
Look in Tools/Show Preferences/GUI and you’ll see a long list of assignable functions.

There’s a check box in the GUI Preferences called “Enable keyboard support,” which enables your keyboard. Shortcuts now work, but why isn’t this on by default? 
I guess because people might be doing other things with their keyboard.
I rarely use it, but it can be useful when I’m in stand alone

Maybe they assume most will be using it in the DAW and that would just be a train wreck with it left on.
They should make a shortcut to toggle on/off, enable shortcuts. Jk

Keyboard Shortcuts section
This section allows you to set up keyboard shortcuts for various functions within BFD3.
Please note that many hosts/DAWs ‘steal’ keyboard input from any plugins - in such cases, it is not possible to use keyboard shortcuts with BFD3.
To ensure that no problems occur with hosts that do not handle plugin key commands well, all key commands are disabled by default and must be set up manually.
If keyboard shortcuts are set up and you experience problems when working in any hosts, deactivate the Enable keyboard support setting.
