inMusic Installer/ extraction Slowest ZIP file opener ever

After many issues with BFD3 since inMusic introduced there NEW licenser/downloader/installer it tells me NONE of by 57 expansion kits are installed but they are licensed. I made the decision to have the inMusic license installer RE-install ALL my 57 expansions for BFD3 only and keep my BFD2 installation in a separate folder. MY god I have NEVER seen such a SLOW ZIP file extractor in my life. it takes Hours to download and extract the files. The other day I was installing London Sessions and the Install took nearly 35,000 seconds or about 9 hours! That was just the install never mind the download and extraction. What is going on? The previous license manager which no longer works was quite fast. This is NOT progress. So far I’ve been at this for 3 days and still have many to install. Now I’m getting problems with the downloader giving error messages that it can’t download; Jazz Noir, Percussion, & Marching Drums so far. As such my BFD3 is useless until I can get it installed properly. It won’t scan in my DAW’s because of this. I use BFD3 as my main drum program and this just sucks!

That’s a long time…
I’m on Windows 11 and haven’t had any issues, the inMusic app seems to work much the same for me as the old BFD app did - doesn’t seem any slower.
I’ve only had to download a couple libraries, but it was reasonable and seemed like normal.
There has to be something causing this somewhere, sorry I can’t offer any help though.
You can always try BFD Support.

I thought it was just me! I raised a ticket to tech support who eventually sent me a link to a separate download file. That took about 3 hrs to load. The unzip worked but the installer file didnt. A few more mails to tech support and me trying to ignore their platitudes and treating me like an idiot it still got me no where. Somehow by palying about with the BFD system set up i got it to work. I am sure I deleted all the existing authorizations then rescanned and they all showed up. I was not happy.

I also deleted ALL existing files for BFD3 than after a full system shutdown and new start I was able to get past the error messages it enabled me to at least download the files. It’s still extremely slow compared to the previous licenser. It still takes HOURS to download extract and install any of the larger FXpansion’s. been working on this for 4 days now and still have 13 to install.

I use Win 10Pro x64 with an Intel i7 4.0 chip with 64Gb RAM @ 2133 Internet speed 500

This system is usually quite fast. It downloaded/installed NI’s Komplete 15 Ult in a few hours it’s some 860Gb’s by comparison. Very automated using there installer.

I decides to just let it do it’s thing installing larger one’s overnight. It so far working but at a snails pace. I have to tell it EVERY time where to install the data to as it keeps wanting to install it to my document folder. I have a 2Tb 7200 RPM SATA 6 drive that has only BFD on it and it has there will be some 300Gb left with both BFD2 & BFD3 kits installed separately. Also most of the installs STILL have BFD2 Presets & kits What a Joke the older installer had the BFD3 Presets & Kits

While I love the sound of the drums and have a serious investment in the FXpansion kits inMusic needs to do better. I would hate to have to replace it.
