I notice that a number of expansions I have that work successfully are shown on the InMusic download page as activated, but also available for download. There are others that say “installed”, but not these ones. Does this mean that they have been updated or had some kind of enhancement and thus should be downloaded? I’m reluctant to download them since they function OK and sound good.
Presumably this is running 3.5?
If so, have you tested it in sonar’s prv?
I’d be amazed, and quite jealous if it was working for you.
If it’s saying downloads are available, that usually means the library you have is out of date and won’t be fully compatible with BFD3.5.
But as I said in a previous message, I’d be very wary of upgrading those libraries until your certain BFD3.5 is ruinning as it should in Sonar.
Because unless you can back up the older libraries, you will never get them back.

Steve:
I’m not sure I followed that, but just to clarify I am running Cubase 14, not Sonar. And I also have the current version of BFD3.5. Everything is running normally.
It sounds like you are saying that if I see “download” being offered then I may not have the latest version of the expansion pack and as a result I should download and install it. Is that correct?
Ah, sory, I thought you were a Sonar user.
Yes, if there is a download available, it’s likely that one of our libraries can be updated
Steve
No problem. Just curious, what kind of updates get made to these expansions that have been around for a long time? I would have thought that changes would have settled down long ago.
By the way, I’ve bought 12 expansions in the last 24 hours. And I already had a lot. There must be something wrong with me!
This used to happen with the old license manager, where it wouldn’t see that you had an expansion installed, even though it was. What you could do, is start downloading one of the expansions in question, just for a few seconds. That should download the version.xml file that shows which version it is. Then, you could compare the version in the downloaded file to the one you have installed to see if it’s the same, or not.
