I had an issue with the new update where BFD was overloading my CPU (Logic Pro). The fix for this is:
Disable the multi-threaded synthesis and multi-threaded mixer settings. You can do this by navigating to Menu > Tools > Show Preferences… > Engine > Synth Engine.
