Fader meters not working

Hello, my fader meters are for the most part not working. Sometimes a snare or a cymbal might work, sometimes a bus will show signs of life, yet I hear the drums. When I select Export in the Faders view all is good. Can somebody explain what I have accidentally messed up?

Can you post short video of what’s happening?

Like @Fender_Bender asked, post a video /screen-cap of you session and make sure you expand BFD enough to show the whole mixer. I’m not sure of your experience level, but you should be aware that you will get a lot of sound from the overheads (OH) and room mics, which will be to the far right in your mixer panel, and may be hidden behind the Master bus if you have the Mini-mixer on, or just hidden if BFD and the mixer aren’t expanded enough.

I can’t seem to get the audio working on the video. Now the fader meters are not working at all.

A strange thing that is happening is the meters start working only when I move the whole BFD screen up and down. When I stop and let go of the mouse the meters freeze.

How do I export an mp4 file here? It will not accept it. At least I can then show you how the meters work as I move the BFD window up and down,

Your best bet is to put it on Dropbox, Google Drive, iCloud or other storage site and post a link to it.

SF, I don’t know what you are talking about. I don’t have any issues using the drums, overheads, or meters. My meters no longer moving. That is the problem.
M.

There is a checkbox in BFD Prefs with something related to meter behavior… just can’t remember off the top of my head and my rig is down atm, so I can’t check. Maybe have a look there.

Fender, thank you. I will check that out as soon as I can.

Hopefully, this link works. Notice the meters stop when I stop moving the BFD screen.

Fender Bender,
I went to the Prefs and Mixer GUI. I had previously checked anything with mixer. I unchecked them and rechecked them. That didn’t work. I never had this issue, so I assume I must have unchecked something.

Seems the mp4 video in Dropbox cannot be viewed.

I never used Google Drive before. Can you all view this?

On the video file in Google Drive, there should be an access option for anyone that has the link, can view the file.

Fender Bender, either you are a minor accident or a Tele. I appreciate your patience.
Does this work?

Michael

In your list of files on G Drive, when you highlight one, to the right should be “Manage Access”. Click that and set it too, anyone with a link can view. Now, click on the 3 dots on the file to bring up the Share function and create a link.

As it stands now, a person has to request access to view the file.

There are FREE MP4 hosts…this one allows the Video to be up for 2 days without an account…

Thank you Chaser. I’m giving Google Drive another go. I don’t think I followed Fender Bender’s instructions.

Ok, that works. I’m assuming the audio doesn’t skip as well, just the graphics? What computer/specs/OS are you using? Is it something related to the GPU I wonder?

Maybe just try installing BFD3 again over the existing install, though it appears a new build is about to drop as well, so might be better off waiting anyways.

The audio is fine, only the meters stop working and the sound is fine.
