BFD 3.5 is such a great long awaited upgrade, but there is something that could really use a small change.
When browsing only Groove Palettes, when you highlight a groove palette it opens a window below the groove palette selection window that shows all the groove options within the palette.
This window only shows the very top 2-4 grooves for the palette rather than allowing the user to see all the grooves in the palette and letting you see all the descriptions of the grooves so you can select the grooves that have the description that matches closer to what you are looking for, e.g. “fills’, or ‘crashes’ …currently you must keep pressing the down button in the grooves list to see all the grooves in any palette.
I love the ability to choose a kit and then being able to spelunk through all the groove palettes for all the expansions to see what sounds good with that drum kit many grooves from other expansion packs work great with other expansion pack drum kits.
It is a great function to be able to pull grooves from other expansions and drag them into the current project template for use in the project.
The only missing thing is an easier way to view and navigate the palette grooves list associated with each palette,
an idea would be to have a superimposed window of all the grooves for any pallet you highlight and be able to listen to those grooves with the current kit and then drag and drop those grooves into the current project.
Hope this makes sense
