Hi. I’m transitioning over to a new Mac from Intel (Late 2015 27" i7 iMac) to Apple Silicon (M4 Pro Mac Mini)
I can use BFD3 stand-alone (after a quick check) but not in Logic Pro yet so I thought I’d first try getting the latest version of BFD3.
A new Mac comes with Sequoia 15.1 and the OS can’t be rolled back (and I wouldn’t just for BFD) so I’m guessing I have to wait for compatibility with this Mac OS version?
Licence manager is v 3.0.6.22 (seems to be the latest)
BFD34 Installed version is 3.4.4.31 and it says Update Available 3.4.5.28
When I click Download I get the error 2 files failed to download properly
Also, what’s with the 185.6GB bar? Is it a download progress bar? It’s there right away even though nothing’s downloaded.
Currently, BFD software is not supported on macOS 15 Sequoia - We encourage all our dedicated AIR Music Tech software owners to refrain from updating to macOS 15 until compatibility with the new operating system can be confirmed.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to ensure full compatibility with macOS 15 Sequoia.
There is a very long list of Developers who either don’t support or have not supplied any information for compatibility with Sequoia
Cheers. Yeah I saw that after I posted. BFD3 standalone automatically runs in Rosetta fine but opening Logic in Rosetta doesn’t enable the BFD3 plugin. So I’ll just have to wait for Sequoia support to use projects with BFD3 on this computer.
I just upgraded to Sequoia on my 2009 Mac Pro using Opencore and didn’t check the compatibility thing until it was too late…lol. No going back now. I don’t have rosetta (obviously) installed on my computer. BFD standalone crashes out as soon as you try to do anything but I am having no problems using it in logic. Using logic 11.
You may want to try opening BFD in logic 11 without rosetta if that’s possible? Obviously it would be great if they got the compatibility issue settled soon. Sequoia’s been out for a while now and I much prefer using BFD in standalone.
