Not sure which category this should be posted in (bug report, feature request or general), but trying here.
I’ve used the free version of BFD Player for a while, but then picked up the superior BFD3 in a recent sale. As BFD3 has superior sounds I’m wishing to replace some of the drum tracks I’ve made with BFD Player on unreleased tracks with BFD3. To my surprise I found that BFD Player somehow is more compatible with BFD3 than vice versa, which seems very contrary, seeing as BFD Player has the option to choose the BFD3 key mapping natively, but BFD3 does NOT have the BFD Player keymap natively, and I would request that it gets added or that somebody share a fully working keymap file I can import. Because all the tracks I’ve made in BFD Player have been made with the BFD Player keymap.
Now, I did find a BFD Player keymap file digging around in the BFD Player installer files, but when I import it to BFD3 it does not actually translate all sounds properly (which is why I think this might belong in the bug report category). For instance some hihat sounds are completely mute. I see the hihat trigger to the input in the GUI, but there’s no sound. This doesn’t go for all hihat keys, of course, but some, particularly the ones in the -2 octave range per the BFD Player manual.
Do you have any keymap file that translates those keys into proper audio that I could try? Or any suggestion how to fix it? Like I said; BFD3 blinks on the hihat on those keys, but do not make any sound…
