BFD3 no sound when bouncing or committing the BFD insert

BFD3 works fine when playing a session. Once I attempt to bounce the project, BFD is silent. Protools allows a commit feature which is effectively a bounce-in-place within a session; even this does not work. The resulting file has no audio. I am forced to record enable the audio output and record the entire drum performance as a work around

Which BFD3 and Pro Tools versions are you running? I’ve done a normal offline bounce before and didn’t have an issue, though that’s just for in a pinch. I always print my drums in real-time when they are ready. Are you just dealing with a stereo track, or do you have multi-outs for BFD?

Hi. Thanks for the reply. Sorry for the late response. I figured out my problem. I was routing BFD3 to audio tracks which were input monitor enabled which is fine for any playback but I didn’t realize that audio doesn’t pass through input enabled tracks when doing any kind of bouncing. The proper move would be to either use Aux tracks or to record the audio onto these input enabled tracks.

No worries. I’ve made that mistake before too with bouncing things with input mon on tracks. Automation isn’t audible either.
