    BFD3 crash report.txt.zip (23.3 KB)
  3. Select any preset (“Smoky Basement” again, or any other preset).
  4. BFD3 crashes (see attached crash report).

Always reproducible, whether “Smoky Basement” is the initial preset loaded, or loaded later on in the BFD3 session.

“BFD3(28162,0x10a09be00) malloc: *** error for object 0x7fd92e58b970: pointer being freed was not allocated”. there’s a bug in the code

That is def BFD3 crashing here. Thread ZERO is the crash thread and nothing else is there except BFD3. there’s a bug in the code

I don’t know what the latest build is for BFD but make sure you are on that.

BFD Stand Alone ALWAYS has more bugs than the plugin IMO

BFD3 Version 3.4.3 build 7 64-bit

  1. Open BFD3 as a plugin in the DAW.
  2. Select the “Smoky Basement” preset and let it load its data.
  3. Select any preset (“Smoky Basement” again, or any other preset).
  4. BFD3 crashes.

Always reproducible, whether “Smoky Basement” is the initial preset loaded, or loaded later on in the BFD3 session.

I first reported a week ago that BFD3 [Version 3.4.3 build 7 64-bit] always crashes upon loading any present after “Smoky Basement” has been loaded.

The other day I also saw BFD3 crash loading a (different) preset even though “Smoky Basement” was never loaded, so I suspect BFD3’s preset loading code is somehow intrinsically buggy.
