BFD3.5 warning for cakewalk/bandlab users

Maybe a bit late for some, but this is important for all cakewalk and bandlab users.

The new BFD3.5 does not give a list of BFD3.5 kit pieces in the PRV.

It has been noted as a bug and is currently under review.

You might want to either hold off updating, or keep hold of the old licence manager as it is no longer downloadable from inmusic.

Here’s a report of the bug, it’s also the same with BFD Player.

Thanks for sharing this information.

It would be nice if they provide an official LM download link for rollback until these issues are fully resolved.

BTW, I don’t think that link will be visible to general users.

Yeah, I wasn’t sure if was allowed to post it, but if non beta testers can’t see it, I guess that lets me off the hook.

I was going to add, if anyone wants to roll back and needs the old Licence Manger they can pm me and I’ll send it.

I have this problem on my Macbook Pro M4 - one week old. I did place my own kits in the presets folder and they show up, but the main kits don’t. I didn’t download the latest kits installer - too big for my slow internet line - so I’m only referring to the new standalone instrument update, not the entire kit library download.

Nonetheless, I’m glad it’s an acknowledged bug. At least we can expect it to get fixed.

Hallo again!
This bug seams critical for me.
May I ask how old is your bug report about this problem?

BTW: Thank You for helping me!

The bug report was back in November 20th 2024.

Considering how long ago this issue was reported and the lack of support response to several open forum questions on the subject…I’m not holding my breath. Too bad. I wonder how long the old authorization system will be maintained?

I’m hoping the old LM will work for a good while yet.

I still have BFD2 & BFD Eco running using the old fxpansion LM.
It’s been almost 10 years which is not bad.
