BFD3 (.4) Standalone crashes on output selection

Hello once again

The Standalone version of BFD3.4 isn’t allowing me to choose an output selection other than Core Audio.

This is happening the the Standalone’s Settings… > Audio Preferences. Attempting to change output to a different device causes the application to crash right away.

It’s not a terribly big deal since I generally use BFD as a plugin, and the output of my DAWs find the x6 just fine.

But in my book… well it just shouldn’t happen like that, I ought to be able to direct the output of BFD to my Universal Apollo x6 just as easily as any other destination.

Do any of you have wisdom to share on this one?

Many thanks,

Hello, everyone

I just want to share the solution to this question, helpfully provided by “Level 2” Sam at tech support:

Disparity in sample rate settings between the BFD standalone and my Apollo x6 DAC caused the problem. Changing BFD3’s sample rate setting to match that of the audio interface resolved this issue, the standalone is now functioning as expected.

Thanks, Sam!
