BFD3 3.5 user content

Hi all, I’m using Mac M2 Si, OS Sonoma 14.7.4
I run BFD from ProTools, v 2024 10.2
I have the current 3.5 running, I have all audio, thru the InMusic Mgr, downloaded to an external disk
and in Mac docs i have a BFD Drums folder where I have my earlier presets (groove and kits)

i have 9 audio folder paths scanned just fine, problem is the Doc files of presets wont scan, it says “no new content” and that’s it.

How do I get my doc files on my mac to scan into BFD3?
and its not: tools > set up content > scan folder…thats not working, at least not yet

PS, a lot my user settings (presets, kits, groove, pal etc are renamed from other files i used as a template, not sure if that matters, it never did on my iMac running 3.4 PTools 12

any help appreciated thanks L

Have you tried the “Rescan System Content”

I dont see where that is an option…those exact words, are you using 3.5?

I am using 3.5, BFD3 with the new 3.5 content loader

as i mentioned if i go to tools, set up content locations, then the new 3.5 content window,
I can direct it to my 9 audio folders on external disk they scan fine and appear in the content window

if i direct it to my docs folder on my computer, where my kit, pal and preset folders are, it just says no new content

i even moved that folder to the ext drive and it still could not get it to show in the content window where items appear once they have been acquired.

the old loader made much more sense in that you could see once uploaded the source of the file and the various ways you could scan, the new 3.5 doesn’t have that visibility

another question would be with this new content loader in 3.5, are docs supposed to appear in the content window like they have in all prior revs

any help much appreciate, thanks L

Try this: Open “File”, then “Load Preset From File”. The resulting window will show you the current default directory for BFD3 presets. Then move your files there.

A bit backwards but it should work.

NOTE:
This post was approved after others replied…

I do have 3.5 on one machine…I don’t use it very often as it sits and spins authorizing on start up
and I don’t have it online
The Wording is a bit different and there is no longer a Re-scan System Content Path Tab…like in previous versions…
I have a Windows Machine…
If I go to tools>setup content locations> content… The Core Library and Expansions are shown…
If I click on Add…I direct to the System Preset Folder…“OK” and see a “Scanning Content Path.”
I removed a Preset Folder…Re-scanned and the Presets were Removed from the Menu.
I Replaced the Presets …Re-scanned…and they were back under the Preset Menu.

I have all the presets, kits etc in the Default Location…
