If I cannot download anything, then version 3.5 will not solve the problem, because it won’t land on my computer. If you can provide me with an LM that just does this, possibly, we might get somewhere. Or if you could send me an actual dmg or pkg installer, so that I won’t have to download it. That still leaves downloading any of the extensions to be solved, but it’s a first step.
I would have liked to help you with the beta-testing, but overwriting what is still working on my system with a beta is just too much of a risk.
You could always add a small partition to your drive to beta test BFD3.
Normally, for a BFD3 update with the current LM, I wouldn’t be too concerned. I’ve had to roll back in the past and from what I remember, it’s not too much of a risk/pain. They tend to not break your whole setup. You can just install over the existing version. However, with this v3.5, I’m more hesitant because of the fact that they’re doing away with the LM and using something different, so there’s a greater chance of not such an easy rollback. I’m not too worried though, as I have enough backups to bail me out.
The download manger or server needs a big improvement.I took me as well about 3 weeks until BFD3 and the core library downloaded.Pretty unreliable.
Highest priority should be VST3 support and of course the abilty to use the bought libraries in that version as well.
At the moment i don`t dare buying stuff because of this unreliable system.
Hey im having some of the same issues with autorizatiion and most of the kit parts arent found when using presets, drum parts have hazard signs on them.
Same thing happens when creating custom kits, wont find the files when reloading.
By no means am I here to cause problems, I want the vst to work properly cuz I wanna show it off on my streams, but cant like this.
Could U make the slider bar across the bottom of the display larger? It’s very hard to get mouse pointer to grab the slider to move screen across (always want to resize the display). Alternately have slide bar expand when mouse rolls over it.

This. Even if the program is a little shabby in it’s current form, you put BFD on a track and it absolutely dominates in terms of realism and quality. There’s nothing else like it. No other program has the same sonic depth. But I understand from a standpoint of someone needing ULTIMATE reliability. BFD fell off on that front, but the right people can fix that. We hope that those people are the ones that help BFD get back on track.
I have Drew, to no avail, and have now made the switch to Superior Drummer 3 with absolutely no regrets.
In a professional studio setting reliability is just as important as sound quality. If a customer has to sit around for 20 minutes whilst I attempt to re authorise software I own, they are likely to look elsewhere for their next session. BFD3 may be fine for the bedroom hobbyist where this is less important, but it has become less and less viable in a pro or semi-pro setting.
I assume you also realised this when you decided to leave?
