BFD crashing Logic

When initiating an instance of BFD3 in Logic 10.8.1. - I’m getting a message in Logic that reads - An Audio Unit plug-in reported a problem which might cause the system to become unstable. Please quit and restart Logic Pro. - - Running on. a M1 Macbook Pro - Ventura 13.6.6. / BFD v3.4.5.28

I see this behaviour also. (M1 Ultra running OS14.4.1)

I see this too
I don’t close Logic, I quit the project
Then I reopen the project and then it’s ok

Obviously this don’t solve the problem, just gets around it
