BFD 3.5 Window Resizing

Sorry if this has been handled before (couldn’t find), but how do you resize the windows in 3.5? I’ve opened in my DAW (Cakewalk by Bandlab) and the plug-in is suddenly very tiny in the upper corner (?) But can’t find the setting for it. Any clues? Thanks!

Not sure what could cause it to be super small because the smallest mine gets takes up 75% of the screen. You should be able to resize just by grabbing a corner and dragging.
But it sounds like yours is off somehow, so you could also try this

Hamburger menu > File > Reset Window Size to Default

Thanks - did that. Just expands the tiny window to be a larger tiny window…all the icons and wording are still small and unreadable.

Did you try the reset?

Also, I moved to Cubase after Cakewalk got shutdown back in 2017 so I still just have Sonar. So my Preferences are probably very behind at this point.
You should look in Preferences in the Display section and look for anything relating to HiDPI or other display resolution settings. Try toggling whatever these are set to to see if that helps. I know when HiDPI was first implemented in Cubase there were people having issues like this.

just checked in CW by BL and seeing a “full size” display in both the track view and the docker (although it’s too big for the docker, cuts off the bottom of the mixer view and can’t be “resized”. Win11 Pro 1920 x 1080 @ 100%.

Thanks for the advice. Full disclosure; I just upgraded my Cakewalk by Bandlab to their new Sonar version and I noticed that several of the VSTs - including BFD3 - are miniscule. So it must be a problem with the DAW and not BFD. Sorry to have you running this down.

IIRC, the Sonar UI was completely revamped to be scalable for modern displays. The BFD3.5 UI is not scalable, only resizable. as suggested by @SF_Green, have a look at your system display settings to see if there might be a clue there.

As weird as it sounds, I’ve had exactly this problem happen with a couple of video games and a couple of plugins I’ve used in Nuendo. The solution in the past for me has been to restart the computer. I think it has something to do with video driver scaling, but I’ve never actually confirmed that. It’s downright comical, however, when a video game like DOOM: The Dark Ages is running in a barely-postage-stamp sized window on my monitor
