Best ride cymbals?

Are there any ride cymbals you think are better quality than others among all expansions?
For some reasons I’m having trouble finding some that suit my ears in the core library, I also have Modern retro and Dark farm. Some cymbals decent, but I’m looking for more.

Everyone’s ears are different and, of course, what one might desire in jazz would be perhaps very different from what one prefers for rock, etc. But, having said that, I often pair Ride 22 Artisan (which is fairly dark) from Sabian Digital Vault with Ride 20 K Crash (which is pretty bright) from Zildjian Digital Vault Vol. 1. I tend heavily towards a jazz sensibility and find that this combination covers a pretty wide variety of situations.

Hope this helps!

If you filter for ride cymbals and then go check the available rides in the kit piece inspector (I think that is what they call it) at the bottom left (once you click the button to show it), you’ll find that there is a wide variety of articulations from piece to piece. Some have very few articulations, and some have lots of articulations.

If you don’t have it, you might want to pick up the Sabian digital vault expansion pack. It’s very nice and many of the pieces have a lot of articulations. I find myself substituting a lot of the pieces into other kits. Highly recommended. I notice on the BFD site they really don’t give too many details about it. Another good expansion is modern drummer snare selects, for the same reason.
